He was a figurehead in post-WWII Germany as an outstanding German Democrat .
With Banz Abbey and Wildbad Kreuth, the Hanns Seidel Foundation has two main conference centers to teach and tutor German Democrats. The Foundation is divided into four major departments:
(1) Academy for Politics and Current Affairs
(2) Institute for Adult Civic Education
(3) Institute for International Contact and Cooperation
(4) Scholarship Organization
The aim of the Hanns Seidel Foundation where the Scholarship Organization is concerned, is to support junior academics with the right personal and academic qualifications who are willing to cooperate constructively and with dedication in forming our liberal state under the rule of law. The Scholarship Organization tries to select, from of a large number of applicants, those students with outstanding achievements, socio-political dedication and stellar personal qualities.
